Mardi Gras 2010

Everyone is invited to experience Mardi Gras 2010 in Hastings -- just upstream from New Orleans! Hastings French students are hosting a family-oriented Mardi Gras at the High School Student Commons from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16th. Food and fun with a French flair abound in a carnival atmosphere for all ages.

SnoWeek Medallion Hunt: Week of February 1-5

The SnoWeek Medallion Hunt will begin on Monday, February 1st. One clue will be posted for each day of SnoWeek.

Starting on Monday, February One
High School students should join in the fun.
Because winter can be so bleak,
Enjoy some hunting during SnoWeek.
A medallion somewhere will be hidden,
But metal detectors are forbidden.
Each day look here for a new clue;
And a great prize, if the winner is you!

2010 All Night Graduation Party: Friday, June 11

Seniors, get ready for one fantastic party filled with games, prizes, friends, food and a hypnotist. Don’t miss the PARTY!

Tickets for the 2010 All Night Graduation Party are now on sale. The cost is $50. Tickets will be sold Fridays during lunch starting Feb 12^th and will be available at the student services desk at all other times. Also, tickets will be available for purchase during conferences on March 4^th & 5^th. Checks should be made out to HHS All-Night Grad Party.

Weather Related Closing and/or Delay Information

The Hastings Public Schools website is the fastest and most accurate way to simply find out if the district has closed or delayed their start time. This is the first place where this information will appear once a determination has been made.

By checking the web you can avoid missing our school district listing while watching the television scroll or having to flip through channels because you see Hastings Public Schools listed on one channel but not on another.

In addition, the School District will continue, as always, to have our closing information announced on KDWA Radio, 1460 AM and Channels 4,5,9 and 11.

Fee for Busing Registration

Student(s) who live within the two miles walking radius of the Middle or High School are eligible for the Fee-for-Service Program which allows the student(s) to ride the school bus to school for a fee. For more information please click above.
