STUDENT COUNCIL will be hosting the Toy Drive this week, Monday December 10- Friday the 14th.  Please bring in NEW toys to your 1st hour classroom.  The class with the most toys per student will receive a pancake breakfast made for you by Student Council!

CONGRATULATIONS:  to the HASTINGS WRESTLING team for taking 1st place at the Park Wolfpack Duals this weekend.  Josh Route, Corbin Leflay and Alex O’Connor all went 4-0 on the day.  The team moves to 9-1 overall.

ASTRONOMY CLUB will meet Tuesday after school in A109.  This week we will be looking at current events related to several spacecraft.  New members are always welcome!

NHS RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE will be held Friday January 11th. Signs ups will be all next week during lunch. You can donate if you are 17 or older, or 16 with a signed parent permission slip that you can pick up at lunch. There is a great need for blood donations, so please consider signing up!

Don’t be uptight, make like Rapunzel and let down your hair- Try something new! AUDITIONS FOR THE WINTER PLAY, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, will be December 17th at 2:45 in the auditorium! 

THE OFFICE CLUB: Cancelled this week. Join us next Tuesday, December 18th for our Christmas party! Please bring something delicious to enjoy and to share! C129 and everyone is welcome!

STAR WARS CLUB: Will meet in C129 Thursday only this week.

YEARBOOK is looking for students of all grades to come help us “tag” photos and make sure we have the right name under the right person! If you are someone who knows a lot of people in your grade and would like to help, come stop by tomorrow (Tuesday, December 11th) in C129 for some snacks and a quick hour or less of tagging! Your help is greatly appreciated!

SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY STUDENTS:    Reminder that we have our second mandatory breakfast this Friday, Dec. 14th in the Lecture Hall at 7:10.  Please be there on time and be sure to wear your Spanish Honor Society shirt for large and small group photos.

FRENCH AND SPANISH STUDENTS that sold fruit and other items for the fundraiser:  Don’t forget that products arrive this week on Wednesday, Dec. 12th.  You must pick them up between 2:40 and 5:30 PM in the Commons.  Be in contact with your clients between now and then! 

HOLA ESTUDIANTES: on December 17th Spanish club is hosting Fiestas Navidadeñas! An event full of fun and food. We will be eating tamales, drinking Mexican hot chocolate, playing spoons, and making a holiday craft. The cost is $5 to come. Be sure to sign up in your Spanish class by Wednesday (you need the $5 to reserve your spot). Check with your teacher to see if it counts as a Cultural Experience. ¡Feliz Navidad!

Our next TECH CLUB meeting will be TUESDAY after school (12/12) in room B115.  We are encouraging all students to attend regardless of having an Industrial Technology class or not.  We will be making a candy dispenser that you could use for yourself or as a holiday gift.  Treats will also be provided.

FEMINISM CLUB:  We are meeting Thursday (12/13) after school in C227. All are welcome!

PEER COURT:   Do you like the TV show Law and Order, Judge Judy, or Live PD? Or maybe you are just interested in law or the judicial process? Either way, we will be holding PEER COURT on Thursday, December 13th right after school in the lecture hall. Peer Court are actual juvenile cases that are tried here in our building. You will have the opportunity to be on the jury, hear an actual juvenile case, work with a real lawyer on how to sentence the juvenile, and present your sentence to one of our Dakota County judges. This is a great experience for ALL students. Come to the lecture hall after school on Thursday, December 13th to get involved. Talk to Mr. Cooper in the counseling office if you have questions or want to be on the jury.

The end of 1st semester is close….Have you paid your fees? 

Please come to the greeter desk to pick up the Semester 2 contract and buy your parking permit starting Monday December 3rd.  *REMINDER – You will not be able to purchase your parking pass if you have unpaid fees or fines.
Please remember – even if you are 18 – if you are paying with CASH you MUST have a parent sign your contract.

DID YOU KNOW??  Parking permits can also be paid for using the PaySchools program found on our website.  To speed the process, please print the receipt and bring to Mrs. Giesen when you pick up your parking permit. 

Freshman - AVID ELECTIVE CLASS - Interviews will be held on December 14.
