CONGRATULATIONS HASTINGS MARCHING BAND!!! The band competed in class AA this year at the Youth in Music Marching Band Championships. This was a new higher class for the Raiders this year and they received the bronze medal/3rd place out of 7 bands in their class! They also received the 12th highest score out of all 26 bands at the competition! Way to go Raiders!

WRITING CENTER COACHES - Come to ONE of the mandatory meetings in B316 (Meister’s room) on Tuesday, 10/23 before school 7:30-7:40 OR after school 2:35-2:45 IF you want to go on the UMN field trip on Friday, 11/16. If neither of those times work with your schedule but you want to go on the trip, talk to Ms. Meister before 10/23. You can also get your t-shirt at the meeting.

SPANISH STUDENTS - It’s that time of year again. November is the time to celebrate Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead!) Come join us on Wednesday October 24th from 2:45-4:15 in C322 as we celebrate (a little early) our loved ones with happiness, festivities and, of course, treats!  We will be decorating skull cookies, making cempasuchil decorations, playing lotería (Mexican bingo), and possibly some Day of the Dead face-painting.  Sign up by Friday in your Spanish classroom or on Schoology in the Spanish Club group (Schoology Code RD8RW-TH3HC). There is a limit of
