Thursday, April 16th - A Day

  • Just a reminder that FCA is meeting tomorrow before school in room 215.

  • The 7th and 8th Grade “Sky Full of Stars” Dance is TOMORROW from 6:30 - 8 pm! Come dance, take photos, eat food, and have fun! It will cost $6 or $5 with a food donation to enter. 

  • Student Council members: if you wish to help decorate for the dance tomorrow, please meet Ms. Ryan and Mrs. Fravel in the cafeteria after school and arrange to be picked up at 3:30 pm.

  • 7th and 8th graders who do theater-- our HS drama club is coming over after school on Tuesday 4/21 to do a meet and greet as well as some improv games. We will meet in the auditorium from 2:35-4:00. This event is for current 7th and 8th graders only. 

  • Congratulations to these 6th grade band students for being selected into the Southeastern Minnesota Band Directors Association 2nd Year Honor Band.

  • Mr. Addyman recommends a book that has a 2010 movie adaptation. The consensus among fans and the author himself is that the book is significantly better than the movie.

The following students are to report to the Wellness Center now. Your name was randomly drawn from the MCA ticket bin for a gift card. Thank you too all students for living the Raider Way during MCA testing!

Wednesday, April 15th - B Day

  • FCA is meeting this Friday at 7:10 am in Mrs. Maier’s kitchen which is room 215.  Contact Mr. Black with questions.

  • Students: Please remember to turn in your MCA ticket during lunch today for a prize. Be sure to write your first and last name on the back of your ticket. Ten students from each grade level will be randomly selected to receive a gift card. Winners will be announced during Thursday’s announcements!

Tuesday, April 14th - A Day

  • If you read the book that Mr. Addyman recommends, you will meet a troubled kid who is framed for stealing Zeus’s lightning bolt and must find the real thief to prevent a war between the gods.

Monday, April 13th - B Day

  • Attention students: Tomorrow and Wednesday, you will be taking your reading MCAs. You will spend the first 2 hours of the testing days doing your MCA testing. Then you will report to all your classes but they will be shortened for the day. To start the day, you will report to your advisory classes unless you are told otherwise. Remember to bring your charged Chromebook, an IDR book, markers or colored pencils, and wired headphones.

  • Please make sure we are returning ice packs back to Nurse Erin! She is running low on them and needs them back asap.

  • Mr. Addyman recommends the first book of the series that Ms. Nicholson recommended earlier this year. This book is full of friendships, Greek mythology, magic, mystery, bad guys and girls, and constant adventure.
