Friday, September 11th - B Day

-Twenty-five years ago, our country experienced a series of terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives that day.

September 11th remains an important day in our nation’s history. Today, we remember those who lost their lives, honor the first responders and everyday people who showed extraordinary courage, and recognize the many ways communities came together to support one another.

As Raiders, we can honor their memory through how we treat one another. Take a moment today to remember the importance of kindness, service, courage, and looking out for others.

Announcement for the library:

Today we will have pictures in the library - for this reason the library is closed. Chromebook issues should be routed to the wellness center and student aids should report to the main office.

If you did not get a picture - you will receive a pass from your 1st hour teacher.

- Last chance to audition for the fall show: Elf The Musical JR. will be after school in the auditorium today.

The HMS Bookmark Design Contest is happening now! Submissions are due Friday September 18th. You can pick up a paper form in the Media Center or submit your design online using the Google form in your advisory Schoology course. Let’s see your creativity shine!

8th graders interested in Youth in Government- reminder to attend an informational meeting today after school in 7th grade Hanson’s room.

Fall sports registration is open until Wednesday, Sept 16. Any questions, see Mr. Klein or Ms. McAlpin

Wednesday, September 9th - B Day

-Auditions for the fall show: Elf The Musical JR. will be after school in the auditorium today and tomorrow (Sept 9th and 10th).

8th graders interested in Youth in Government! Please come to an informational meeting tomorrow- Thursday- afterschool in Mr. 7th grade Hanson’s room- room 223. Find out about the program and how to get registered and get financial aid.

- This announcement is for any student that has a PHY ED or MUSIC class on either A or B day. You must leave your backpack in your locker and not bring it to the music class or the phy ed class. If you believe you need a modification made, please connect with your grade level school counselor or grade level principal.

Attention students: The lost and found, located by the gym, will be donated after the last day of school. Please pick up any items that belong to you before then, or they will be donated. Staff: If you have any lost and found items in your area, please bring them to the lost and found by the gym as soon as possible.
For anyone that has checked out HMS media center books, Please get them returned. We have 4 more school days to get them in. If you cannot find a book, please look again. Check your backpack, classrooms, locker, and at home. Any questions, please swing by the media center.
