Students must earn 44 semester credits.

LANGUAGE ARTS - 8 CREDITS TOTAL

SCIENCE - 6 CREDITS TOTAL
All HHS students must earn three years of science credits (6 semester credits) to meet the graduation requirement. Students must take and pass Science 9 (Chemistry and Physics) for 2 credits: a Biology for 2 credits; and two (2) additional credits of science. Students in the class of 2015 and beyond must take and pass a Chemistry or Physics course for 2 credits to meet the state science requirement. Students who have been accepted into the Accelerated Science
program must complete 8 credits of science including Honors Biology, Chemistry, Physics or AP Physics and a fourth year of an upper-level science course.

ART - 2 CREDITS TOTAL
Art includes all classes in the Art and Music departments plus Floral Design and Landscape Design in the Horticultural Department; Drafting A/B, Architectural Drawing A/B, General Metals A/B, Photography/Screenprinting, and Advanced Woodworking Technology A/B in the Industrial Technology Department; and Housing and Interior Design in the Family and Consumer Science Department.

ELECTIVES - 11 CREDITS TOTAL
Elective credits are any classes above and beyond the 34 required courses. These can include additional language arts, math, science, or social studies credits.
