This week's faculty feature is Julie Henrichs!!
Students and Staff at the Hastings Alternative High School are extremely grateful for Julie. She is the hardest-working person we know, holding students accountable while building the kind of relationships that make them want to come to school. Julie is the steady presence who keeps the entire program running smoothly.
Each morning, Julie greets students and staff while managing the front desk, tracking attendance, updating announcements, answering phones, replying to emails, and overseeing Chromebook checkouts. Throughout the day, she coordinates student meetings and room usage, helps maintain safety and flow, and serves as a dependable, welcoming point of contact for everyone who walks through the door. At lunchtime, she serves meals; by afternoon, she is checking in Chromebooks and creating our daily attendance report.
Julie is the central communicator for our staff—sharing key information, organizing events, and keeping everyone connected. Students see her as the HAHS go-to person, and each classroom even has a “See Julie” pass to prove it.
Working with Julie is an honor. The number of hats she wears and tasks she completes in a single day is astounding, and our school truly wouldn’t function without her. She is the epitome of excellence, and we are deeply grateful for all she does.
