Welcome to Hastings Food & Nutrition Services

Welcome to Hastings Food & Nutrition Services!  Our department operates two national programs – the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program.  These programs play key roles in supporting the nutrition and health of school children in the United States by providing nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free meals each school day.

What's New this Year?

Students will be required to use their PIN numbers this school year.

TIP: Make your child's phone or IPad login their lunch pin. This is a quick way to get them to learn prior to the start of the school year.

Beginning in September 2023, the Nutrition Services Department will offer all meals for free (1 breakfast and 1 lunch daily):

  • We still need your help filling out the application for educational benefits even with free meals.  There are many benefits that families can apply for with discounted rates.
  • Breakfast and lunch will be free to all students; however, ala cart will not be free. That means that families will need to add money to your students account to allow them to purchase extras (This includes a milk bought without a reimbursable meal). Students will not be allowed extras if there isn’t money in the account.
  • All students will need to know their Student Number for the cashier to ring them out.  This means ALL students must know their 6-digit Student Number before the first day of school in August.  Their Student Number can be found on the Hastings school website under Parent Infinite Campus parent portal on the Hastings website. Go to left side click on menu, go to today, then on right side you can toggle through your children if needed.  If your student does not know their number, or needs to practice, please work with them over the summer so they are ready for the first day of school.
You can fill out an Online Application or you can pick up a paper application at your students school.
